Privacy Policy
Last updated 18 October 2026
Slipstream Studio ("Slipstream", "we", "us") is an iOS app for making social media posts and publishing them on schedule. It is published by Operant Pty Ltd (ABN 29 701 597 239), 330 Church Street, Parramatta NSW 2150, Australia. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you delete it. We handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and name, from Sign in with Apple, Google, or email sign-up.
- Content you create: photos, videos, captions, templates, brand details and scheduled posts you add to the app, and the website address you give us for your brand profile.
- Connected social accounts: when you connect TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn or X, we receive from that platform the account's ID, display name, profile picture and the access the platform grants (an access token with the permissions you approve). We use these only to show which account is connected and to publish the posts you ask us to publish.
- Publishing results: the platform's post ID, link and status for each post we publish for you, so you can see what was posted.
- Device token: if you allow notifications, a push token so we can tell you when a post is published.
We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other companies' apps and websites. We do not read your direct messages, contacts or followers' personal information.
How we use it
Only to run the app: sign you in, store your content, build your brand profile, suggest post ideas, generate the images and videos you ask for, publish the posts you schedule to the accounts you connect, and send the notifications you enabled. We publish only content you created or approved in the app, at the time you chose.
Who processes it
- Google Cloud (hosting, database, file storage and AI generation), in Australia.
- Upload-Post, our social publishing partner, for accounts you connect through it and the posts you publish through it.
- The social platforms you connect (TikTok, Meta for Instagram and Facebook, Google for YouTube, LinkedIn, X), which receive the posts you publish and process them under their own privacy policies.
- Apple and Google, when you sign in with them.
We do not share your information with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
Google and YouTube
When you connect a YouTube channel, Slipstream uses YouTube API Services to upload the videos you choose and to read the channel's name and ID. By connecting, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's Privacy Policy applies to data Google processes. You can remove Slipstream's access at any time on your Google Account permissions page. Slipstream's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and X
Data we receive from these platforms is used only to publish your posts and show their status in the app. We don't use it for advertising, don't sell it, and don't share it with anyone but the platform it came from. You can disconnect an account in the app (Settings, then Integrations) or remove Slipstream from the platform's own app settings; either way we stop publishing to it and remove the connection.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. When you disconnect a social account, we remove the connection and stop publishing to it. When you delete your account, we delete your account record, your content and your connected-account data.
Deleting your data
Delete your account in the app: Settings, then Account, then Delete account. You can also email us to ask for deletion. Full steps, including for Facebook and Instagram users: Data deletion.
Security
Your data is stored in Google Cloud in Australia, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access tokens are used only by our server and never shown in the app.
Children
Slipstream is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Your rights and changes
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or complain about how we handle it, by emailing us. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au). We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new date.
